Welcome to the de Menezes Lab
Here we study how microbial communities and their interactions drive ecosystem processes and environmental health. Our three key areas of research are: 1) how microbial interactions and community assembly drive ecosystem function; 2) understanding the mechanisms by which microbial communities regulate biogeochemical processes, particularly in terrestrial ecosystems; and 3) integrating microbial, public health, and environmental data for geospatial mapping and prediction of environmental and public-health risk.
